Williams Butler, Jr. was fondly known as "Willie” or “June", was born May 27, 1949 in Reydell, Arkansas. He was born to the late William and Ida Mate Butler.
Williams was preceded in death by two brothers - Samuel Butler and Tommie Butler, one sister- Elnora Swift and one granddaughter- Brionna White.
His formal education was received in Altheimer, Arkansas. Graduating from Martin High School.
Williams accepted Christ at an early age. He moved to Flint, Michigan in 1969, where he worked and retired from General Motors after many years of service. After retirement, Williams returned to his home state and moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Williams was a hard worker, but always found time to spend with family and friends. One of his favorite hobbies was working on antique vehicles.
Williams leaves to cherish one son- Johnnie (Lynette) Butler of Flint, Michigan, Seven daughters- Remonia (Anthony) Harris, Sheila Butler, Felicia Anderson, and Jennifer Butler all of Flint, Michigan. Romona Hill of Indianapolis, Indiana, Zeporia Marzette of Denton, Texas, and Sharlene (Jamar) Bates of Atlanta, Georgia. Williams is survived by 12 grandchildren- Jonathan, Joneva ( Keeneen), Lukayus, Stanley, Bianca, Jakavious, Dequavion, Wyesha, Artquala, Shaterria (Arsenio), Briannica and Nevaeh. He is also survived by 13 great grandsons, one sister - Willie Mae Laws of Altheimer, Arkansas. Four brothers- Leon Butler of Altheimer, Arkansas, Eugene (Irene) Butler of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Isaac (Carolyn) Butler of Altheimer, Arkansas, Roy (Joyce) Butler of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a host of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Tommy Butler, Jr. Williams was previously married to Bonnie Crain Butler, and they remained close friends.
