Vera Gean Smith was born July 25, 1953, to the late Willie Mae and Ray Anthony Jordan Sr.
She confessed Christ at an early age and attended Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member under the leadership of Reverend Sylvester Kearney.
She was educated and graduated from Grady High School.
She is preceded in death by her mother Willie Mae Jordan, Father Ray Anthony Jordan Sr., Husband Bennie R. Smith, Brothers Ray Anthony Jordan Jr., Joe Jordan, Nathaniel Jordan, Samuel Thomas and Jerry Jordan. Sisters Freddie Jordan, Ruby Williams and Carolyn Alsup.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her daughter Dana Jeffries of Pine Bluff, AR. Three sons Bennie Wayne Smith of Houston, TX; Kenneth Smith of Pine Bluff, AR; and Ray Smith of Crossett, AR. Two sisters Bobby Jean Burton of Little Rock, AR; Linda Sue Jordan of Pine Bluff, AR; and one brother Larry (Lynette) Jordan of Little Rock, AR. Six grandchildren and three great-grands. Special Friend Calvin Jeffries and Special Niece Kenneisha (Corey) Reynolds-Houston. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
