Thelma Pruitt was born June 29, 1932, to Othur Tanner Sr. and Louella Ross (both deceased). She was raised by her grandparents on the family farm along with her siblings.
She later married Richard Pruitt (deceased), moved to Gould, and together they brought a beautiful daughter, Mary Pruitt- Harris (deceased) into the world.
Thelma attended beauty college in Pine Bluff, graduated, and owned her own business as a beautician. She has always delighted herself and others with her cooking, such as those delicious buttered rolls and her cakes! Not only did she always have someone eating at her dining room table but she also had a passion and love for children.
