Steven Daniel Obituary

Steven Lavon Daniel, Sr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away April 26, 2021. He was born September 6, 1965, to the late Ernest Daniel, Sr. and Clemmie Smith Daniel. 


Steven confessed hope in Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. He was baptized at St. John Baptist Church in Arkansas City under the leadership of Reverend Littleton.

 
Working, fishing, and reading the Bible were things he enjoyed doing. He received his education from the Arkansas City School District, where he graduated on May 11, 1984. Steven moved back to Arkansas from California, worked several years for the Arkansas Department of Correction, and was employed by Tyson Foods at Pine Bluff, Arkansas. 

He was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Alice Nelson Daniel, for twenty-two years. 
Steven was preceded in death by a daughter-Beatrice Daniel; his parents-Ernest Daniel, Sr. and Clemmie Smith Daniel; one brother­James Daniel; four sisters-Barbrah Daniel, Shirley Daniel, Mary Ann McCormick, and Beatrice Lewis Daniel; and one brother-in-law-Eddie Goodlow. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife-Alice Nelson Daniel; sons­Steven Daniel, Jr. of Vallejo, California, Jeremiah Daniel, Darrell Hampton, and lbn Venson all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Remalle Hampton, Anthony Venson, and Kaabar Venson of Chicago, Illinois; his daughters­Ashley Daniel of Kansas City, Missouri, Mechelle (Milton) Moore, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Veronica Daniel of Vallejo, California; eleven brothers-Tommy (Ida) Daniel, Reverend Ernest (Beatrice) Daniel, Jr., David (Pattie) Daniel all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Glenn (Tieffa) Daniel, Antonio McDaniel from Arkansas City, Leslie (Delonda) Britt, Morgen McDaniel, and Timmie McDaniel all of McGehee, Arkansas, Jimmy McDaniel and James McDaniel of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Terrell Jenkins of Arizona; eight sisters-Patricia Goodlow of Pine Bluff, Clemmie (James) Robinson, Wendy Evans, and Brenda (Frank) Smith all of Arkansas City, Stephanie (Frank) Williams of Monroe, Louisiana, Barbrah Price of McGehee, Arkansas, Paula (Reverend Esau) Watson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Lenora Wise of Richmond, Virginia; his stepmother-Vivian Daniel of Arkansas City; two uncles-Tommie (Flossie) McDaniel and Roy Lee (Carla) McDaniel of New Orleans, Louisiana; one aunt-Bessie Stewart of Arkansas City; and a host of friends.
