Sonya Dokes

Sonya was born December 9, 1969, to Mary Cabine and Charles Dokes in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She would go on to be raised by her mother and stepfather, Jerry Patillo, after the death of her father.

Sonya attended the Dollarway Public School District where she participated in the band. She graduated in 1988. She was employed with Tyson Foods in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for 20 years.She worked diligently for them until her health no longer permitted her to do so.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dokes, step-father, Jerry Patillo, a son, Darius Warren and grandfather, George Dokes, Sr.

Sonya will be missed by many and leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Alycia Dokes; mother, Mary Patillo; step-sister, Charron Patillo-Morehead; many aunts, but a favorite, Beulah Perkins; a cousin who was raised as a brother, Darryl Williams; 2 grandchildren: Aviana Burnett and LaDarius Dokes; grandmother, Estelle Dokes; her life-long best friend, Mary Davis; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
