Shaun Williams Obituary

“To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Shaun Trevor Williams was born July 6, 1981, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Blanchie Whitmore and Harold Williams.  This would begin his journey in life that would fulfill his purpose.

Shaun confessed his Faith in Christ on August 13, 1992, during a revival at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Altheimer, Arkansas being held by Rev. Jerry Black under the leadership of Rev. Elijah Mason.  He continued to hold onto his faith in God as his strength and peace.  On Friday, August 6, 2021, Shaun peacefully made his earthly transition to be in the presence of the Lord forever.

Shaun was a graduating member of the Class of 1999 of the Altheimer Unified School District.  He continued to further his education, attending and graduating from Arkansas Baptist College with his Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University.

Shaun would use his education that would fulfill his life’s desire – Coaching.  He mentored several AAU players, Arkansas Baptist College basketball team members, and his community.  Shaun had a love for his family and always encouraged everyone to follow their dreams in life.

Shaun previously worked for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as a Counselor helping navigate students and athletes through the college experience.  He was a dedicated employee and advocate.

Shaun was preceded in death by grandparents – Fred and Alice Pitts-Whitmore, Coleman and Altha Lee Williams; niece – Simone Kearney, along with several loving uncles, aunts, and relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memory, loving parents; mother:  Blanchie Whitmore-Laws; Altheimer, Arkansas; father: Harold (Shelia) Williams; Pine Bluff, Arkansas;  son:  Zion Lamar Williams; Little Rock, Arkansas, daughters: Tiara Lasha Williams and Shanna Tamara Williams, both of Little Rock, Arkansas;  brothers: Andre (LaNika) Williams, Little Rock, Arkansas; Jason Laws; Altheimer, AR; sisters: Tonya (Willie) Reams; Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Kim Robinson, Altheimer, Arkansas;  uncle; Curtis (Gail) Williams; San Antonio, TX; aunts; Clora Miller, St. Louis, MO; JoAnn (James) Smith, St. Louis, MO; Dorothy Whitmore, Altheimer, AR; Carolyn Whitmore, Wentzville, MO; Freddie Bryant, Milwaukee, WI;  and a host of relatives whom he loved dearly.
