Roger Allen Knight, Jr. was born to Gail Knight and Roger Knight, Sr. He attended school in the Grady School District and graduated as a Wolverine in 2004.
He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age as a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Roger, better known as "Babe", was well known and full of laughter and love. He also was blessed to survive bone cancer for twenty-five years. With being diagnosed at the early age of 13, he still managed to graduate with the help and love of his classmates, family, and friends. In his adulthood he enjoyed listening to music, watching the world news, playing video games, and visiting with his brothers, sisters, family, and friends. Roger is the baby of every household and crowd he enters. He will be truly missed. He loved playing "Call of Duty" which was one of his last wishes before taking his rest.
Roger is preceded in death by his grandparents-Jretha and Matthew Winston, Maple and Acie Knight.
He leaves to cherish his parents-Gail and Roger Knight of Grady, Arkansas; his son-Terrius Royal of Grady, Arkansas; two sisters-Towanna Scruggs of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Andrea (Kelton) Montgomery of Houston, Texas; four brothers- Cedric Scruggs, Acie Scruggs, Jermaine Scruggs, and Sterling Scruggs all of Grady, Arkansas; one god-sister —Tenita (Edwin) Thompson of Fort Worth, Texas; one god-brother — Leslie Lowe of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a special aunt-Kathy Walker of Grady, Arkansas; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
"He will well with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself ill with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
