Ricky Pearson

Mr. Rickey D. Pearson departed this world on January 28th, 2021, at Hot Springs Medical Center, Hot Springs, AR. Bro. Pearson crossed over to his heavenly home. It was a step into another room of our Father’s house. He touched our lives in countless and wonderful ways. To his family, he was confident, caring, and inspiring at every turn. His family was blessed by his inquisitive mind, constant dedication to excellence, and quiet determination to encourage family and friends. Truly God blessed us with sixty-one years of love and fellowship.

Rickey D. Pearson was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on December 08, 1959, to the late Joe and Georgia Mae Pearson. He attended Coleman Elementary School before relocating to Chicago, IL. He graduated from Harrison High School, in Chicago, IL. Early in life, he professed faith in Jesus Christ. He had an extraordinary ability to reach people in a deep, humorous and positive way. He truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. He worked as a construction worker until his health failed.

He leaves wonderful and precious memories to be cherished by his son Aundriest Antwan Sims; grandchildren: Amiya Sims & Jamien Brothers; all of Pine Bluff, AR; two brothers–, Willie Pearson, and Samuel E. Pearson all of Pine Bluff, AR; three sisters–Clander Jones, Dorothy Bell and Alphia Wilson of Pine Bluff, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and classmates.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Georgia Lee Pearson; brothers: Johnnie Pearson and Vernon Pearson; sisters: Dollie M. Bradley and Leola Pearson.

With his exodus on January 28th, 2021, in Hot Springs, AR, Brother Rickey D. Pearson now claims the victory that Christ won for all who place their faith in Him as God's provision for our salvation. During his life, he touched us, taught us, and showed the grace of God. Because he intentionally and faithfully transmitted the light of that grace in so many ways, we are wiser, more reverent, and will forever cherish his precious memory with thankful hearts.
