Rev. Cassandra Jackson, affectionately known as "Sandy", was born on December 19, 1955, the third out of a family of ten of the late Minister Rudolph V Goodman and Sister Fannie Goodman. Cassandra answered the call from labor to reward on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at her home.
Cassandra accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. M Charles Thomas at Leach Chapel CME Church. She graduated from Wilburn D Mills High School in 1974. She attended Lane College in Memphis TN. She worked at the Children Colony in Alexander, AR. She also worked as an Aide at Baptist Hospital. She later attended nursing school and earned her LPN degree. She dedicated 25 years to Baptist Health Hospital.
She later accepted her call into ministry in 1999. Later she joined Pleasant Hill CME along the side of Rev. Shelby Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her late husband John Jackson and Daughter Tammy Jackson and Sister Wanda Lairy.
She leaves to cherish her legacy:
Her brothers: Dickie C Goodman of Little Rock, Arkansas, Rudolph A Goodman (Clarice) of Dennison, Texas, Shawn Goodman (Hisunta) of Duncanville, Texas, and Derrick Goodman of McKinney.Texas.
Her sisters: Kayundro James (William) of Little Rock, Kathy Jackson, Alice Culberson, Phyllis Goodman, and Susan Brown of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Children: Nikki Goodman, Latonya Madkins (Ronald}, Derrica Wallace, John Jackson Jr., and Markevius Jackson.
Grandchildren: Alexius White, Kylen Brown, D'Mariea Avance, Josiah Avance, Micah Avance, Darius Avance, LaRon Madkins, Ronniah Madkins, and Genesis Eastern. A special niece Yolanda Goodman of North Little Rock, AR. A host of grand and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
