Peter Magsby was born January 15, 1933 to the late George Magsby and the late Nellie Magsby in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Peter accepted Christ at an early age. He was a former member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church under leadership of Reverend George Barnes until his health failed. Peter was known to many as "Pete". He was employed at Central Moloney, where he retired. He loved to garden and listen to his Blues. You could catch him sitting out listening to his Blues under his carport. He was a busy-body. He used to detail cars.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters-Willie Collins, Magnolia Foster and Addie Perryman; a son-Cornelius Magsby; and six brothers-Dale Magsby, Don Magsby, Wash Magsby, Bennie Magsby, Eddie Magsby and Lindsey Magsby.
On January 2, 2022, Pete took his heavenly flight. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-two years-Wanda (Jackson) Magsby; one son-Travis Whitehead; two stepsons-Carl Allen, Jr. and Cedric Jackson; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
