Patsy Fletcher, 87, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas made a peaceful transition on August 15, 2003, after a long battle with dementia.
Patsy was the only daughter of the late Roselle Robinson and the late Buddy Harris was born on July 13,1936 in Ferda, Arkansas. She was educated in the Altheimer Public Schools and was later employed in housekeeping at the Ambassador Hotel in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Patsy accepted Christ at an early age at Traveler's Rest Church under the leadership of Reverend Rooks in Altheimer, Arkansas. She united with The New United Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the fundraiser and kitchen committee. She also served on the Mother's Board until her health failed.
Patsy was united in holy matrimony to L. J. Fletcher. They were the proud parents of five children. Patsy loved cooking for family gatherings, friends, and her church. Most of all, she enjoyed laughing with family, friends and helping others in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband L. J. Fletcher, her one and only brother Tommie Bommon and her oldest son, Robert Milner.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, one son, Artist (Barbara) Milner of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Glenda (Charles) Mack of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Shirley (Rick) Bondon of Memphis, Tennessee and MyKenya Fletcher of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
