On February 4, 1963, God saw fit to bless Toussaint L' Ouverture Stanfield and Erma Holley Stanfield with a son, whom they named Dilan Anthony Stanfield.
He grew up in Pine Bluff under the Tutelage of his parents, and both sets of grandparents; Lloyd George Stanfield and Jessie Nall Stanfield (his Paternal Grandparents) Also Coy (Boy) Holley and Dashea Mae Holley (His maternal grandparents). At the tender age of 2, he lost his loving mother (Erma Holley) due to a car accident on December 26, 1965. His loving Father, with the help of his grandparents rallied around him and his brother Floyd to provide a loving home and environment. IN June of 1970 his paternal grandparents Lloyd George and Jessie Nall Stanfield legally adopted him, and he became their son.
Dilan attended Saint Peters Catholic School until around 1975, when they closed their doors. At this time, he began attending Public School by way of the Dollarway School System. He enjoyed band and auto mechanic classes. He could fix anything pertaining to a vehicle. His Father, being an electrician, began training Dilan to become an electrician. As a teenager he knew what hard work was, and how to take instruction from the Tutelage of his Father. Because of this early training, he became a very good apprentice. From this he furthered his education and became a Master Electrician. He later became an Electrical Engineer. In scripture, Proverbs 13:22 says a good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children. This reigned true. Because Dilan began training his grandsons in electrical work early on. He also trained his wife and bought her, her own top of the line Klien Electrical tools. Trust me, she knows how to use them.
In the early 90's the Lord started dealing with Dilans heart and drawing him closer to him. He felt a tug that God was calling him into Ministry. He ran for a time, but the Holy Ghost got a hold of him and told him now or never. From that time to his demise, he was faithful to the Call of God. He was a member of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church and say under the tutelage of Rev. R.C. Wells. On August 23"°, 1992, Dilan received his certificate of License for Ministry. Pastor Dilan Stanfield received her Certificate of Ordination at first Missionary Baptist Church, on his birthday February 4 1996, with 6 Pastors as ordaining Council. He also studied at Tripp Bible Institute Pastor Stanfield was blessed with 33 years to minister God's word, love God's people. He was indeed a shepherd after God's Heart. (Jeremiah 3:15)
He Pastored at First Baptist in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for several years until he moved to Dallas, and then Arlington, Texas. He became a part of Tony Evans Ministry, Oakcliff Bible Church. Later he became a part of the Potters house, under the Leadership of T.D. Jakes.
After his father became ill, he moved back to Arkansas to care for him and take over his business. A&S Electric. Dilan wore many hats. He was a mortician at Perry Funeral Home, as well as the Chaplain. He worked at the Department of Corrections; he was also a police office and a detective for the drug task force.
