Obituary
Melvin Lampkin of Star City, Arkansas passed away May 9, 2022 at his home. Melvin was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Joe Lampkin and Erma Jean Lampkin, October 10, 1954.
Melvin received his early education in the Pine Bluff School District. His love for helping others and his faith in Christ always remained strong. His pastime hobbies included fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his father-Joe “Chip” Lampkin; maternal grandmother-Elnora Pace; and a sister-Helen Lampkin
Surviving family members: wife-Sandra Lampkin; brothers-Joseph (Dorothy) Lampkin all of Pine Bluff, AR, Alphonso (Mae) Lampkin, Glen Lampkin, Carl (Glenda) Lampkin of Houston, TX; his sisters-Diane Lampkin, Vernell Buckley all of Pine Bluff, AR; aunts-Irene (Jimmy Lee) Walters, Janie (Bobby) Scott, Geraldine Briggs and Shirley (Christopher) Warrior.
He also leaves to cherish his loving memory, a devoted companion of 27 years, Bobbie Haywood; special nephew-Derek Lampkin; and a host of friends.
