Linda Sue Lowe was born on June 11, 1955, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Daisy M. Boler Smith and the late Cleophus “Oaks” Lowe. Linda was the second child of seven children born to Daisy M. Smith. Affectionately known as “LL”, she grew up and lived on the Eastside of Pine Bluff where she developed lifelong friendships and served as a guiding light to all those whom she encountered.
Linda received her education in the Pine Bluff School District, attending Indiana Elementary School, Southeast High School, and Pine Bluff High School.
At an early age, Linda confessed her hope in Christ and became filled with the Holy Spirit. Linda was baptized at Taylor Lake, under the leadership of Pastor C.L. Walker at Smith Chapel Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed worshiping and praising the Lord and served as a witness for Christ to all those she encountered. She loved to fellowship with family, friends, and the community. Linda was under watch-care at Greater Deliverance Global Ministry and remained faithful until her transition.
Linda had a passion for serving the community. She was considered as a great cook and was known to prepare large, Thanksgiving-style meals for all her neighbors and friends. She served as a surrogate mother and grandmother to many and was willing to open the doors of her home to those in the community. Linda’s home was considered as a Safe Haven, where many would go to receive an encouraging word, along with a great meal. Linda truly had a servant’s heart and continued to give God the praise, even during difficult storms and health crisis.
Linda accepted the call from the Lord and entered Heaven’s shore on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 6:26 pm. She was surrounded by her loving family, even until the very end of her earthly life. Preceding her in death was her father Cleophus “Oaks” Lowe; her beloved sister, Prophetess Sandra Gaynor; grandparents, Eddie & Bertha Jones; great-nephew, Braylin Brown Butler; countless friends and family members, including her aunts, Uncle Michael Jones, and closest friend Arthur Earl Shelton.
