Leorn Alexander Obituary

Leorn "Brother" Alexander, born October 13, 1934, in Swan Lake, Arkansas, departed this life peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Luther and Beulah Alexander.

Leorn accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. R.H. Atkinson. On October 1, 1955, he married Berlene Stocker, and together they were blessed with seven children.

A devoted servant of the Lord, Leorn faithfully served as both an usher and deacon at Mount Bayou Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He was also a dedicated employee of Riceland Foods in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he worked for nearly 30 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Berlene Alexander; and six siblings, Ada Dulaney, Melissa Adway, Eartha Gipson, Willie Alexander, Beulah Herd, and Eli Alexander.

He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters, Lula Williams (Little Rock, AR), Marilyn (Floyd) Crater (Altheimer, AR), Tracy Alexander and Allyson (Jessie) Williams (Pine Bluff, AR), and Vanessa Alexander (McKinney, TX); two sons, Charles (Evelyn) Alexander and Michael (Veronica) Alexander (Altheimer, AR); two brothers, R.B. Alexander (Pine Bluff, AR) and Lewis (Jean) Alexander (Los Angeles, CA); two sisters, Bernice Davis and Odessa (Crissell) Love (Los Angeles, CA); one brother-in-law, Rueben (Mary Lee) Stocker (Little Rock, AR); 11 grandchildren, Andre Williams (Little Rock, AR), Nicole Hunter (Jacksonville, FL), LeCury McCray (Little Rock, AR), Markisa Alexander (Pine Bluff, AR), Tabitha Crater and Tashara Crater (White Hall, AR), Dwayne Ware (Little Rock, AR) Krissie Patterson (McKinney, TX), Kabiona Anthony (Pine Bluff, AR), Gavin Braswell (Jersey City, NJ, Steven Braswell (McKinney, TX), William Alexander (Hot Springs, AR), and Natasha Thompson (Little Rock, AR); 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors who loved him dearly.
