On Friday, January 10, 2020, God called home a beautiful soul, Sister Leola Long Mack, "Tee". She was born October 9, 1938 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Arthur Chavies and Willie Ann Potts. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was an active member at New St. Hurricane until her health failed. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Leola attended Merril High School, and she was in the healthcare and food service field. She was married to the late Clarence Long, Sr., and later married Albert Mack, Sr.
Tee was very helpful to anyone in need. Her home was your home. She never met a stranger who wasn't welcomed to a meal or two. She was very caring and understanding. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to all who knew her. She made sure the family was always taken care of with her NEVER ENDING LOVE!II
Leola was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters-Catherine Ramage, Willie Ann Scott, Rosetta Brooks, Bethel Brooks, Flossie Phillips, and Bessie Buffington; four brothers-Arthur Chavies, Jr., Joe Chavies, Matthew Chavies, and John Chavies; son-Carl A. Sims "Pook"; daughter-Latange S. Long "Tonya"; two grandsons-Isaac Evans and Chauncy Long; and a granddaughter-Dawon Beavers.
She leaves to cherish one brother-James Chavies; two sons-George Luckett and Clarence Long, Jr.; four daughters-Arnett Sims, Cynthia (Troy) Holman, Joyce Long (Nathaniel) Scott, and Teresa Long; a special granddaughter-Tanisha Duncan (Kevin) Love; a special grandsonCorjalon Evans; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, ·nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly and will forever cherish her memories.
