Born November 26, 1980, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Kendrick LaWayne Jacks, the son of Rachel Merie Shorter and Herman Alpheus Jacks, exchanged his labors for everlasting rest with the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2020. He was converted and baptized at Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church August 1991. As a member served as a Junior Deacon, Usher, and Youth Choir Director.
He is a 1999 graduate of Dollarway High School who enjoyed participating in the Junior High School Band and playing various sports. He was well-known among the family for artistic abilities. He served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge in March 2009:
He was preceded in death by his grandparents - Robert Shorter, Sr., Carrie Shorter, Arthur Jacks, and Delorise Jacks.
Survivors include his parents; a son - Kevin Rauls; a daughter - Shae'Raelyn Jacks Galloway (Dalton); a granddaughter - Shari Galloway; special friend-Tanisha Clinksdale; goddaughter - Ta'Liyah Allen; two bothers - Corey Brittum, Dejuan Martin; five sisters - Latoyia Boose, Laqonya Williams, Ashley Kolen-Wright, Cintoria Kolen, Brandy, Alcye'a Jacks. Other survivors include a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
