Joe C. Lampkin Jr. gained his wings on April 11, 2024 at JRMC. He was born on October 28, 1956 and was the first of eight children to the late Joseph and Earmalene Lampkin in Pine Bluff, Arkansas with a mid wife.
At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
In 1982, Joe met the love of his life Dorothy (Sledge) Lampkin and they married and were together for over 40 years until her passing in January of 2024.
Joe worked for Smith Wrecking Co. in Pine Bluff for over 30 years doing things from pulling parts to transporting cars to be smashed.
Ultimately he became his second family and nothing could change that. He worked for the Smiths until he became ill and couldn't work any longer.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lampkin; a brother - Melvin lampkin; a sister - Helen Lampkin; and a grandson - Adrian Radford.
He Leaves to cherish his long memories five daughters - Ternisa Lampkin, Patricia (Edwin) Fountain, Arretter (Clifton) Lancaster, ano Shantel (Eshon) Freeman all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Katraia Lampkin of Camden, Arkansas; three sons - Joseph Lampkin Ill, Johnathan Lampkin and Jauron (Aaronette) Lampkin all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three brothers - Alphonso (Mary) Lampkin and Glenn Lampkin of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Carl (Glenda) Lampkin of Houston, Texas; two sisters - Diane Lampkin and Vernell Buckley of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; 21 grand children, 9 great-grand children and a host of Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
