Jessie Rankins

Jessie Lee Rankins was born February 27th, 1958, in Dumas, Arkansas to the late Dorothy Miller and late Johnny Rankins.

Jessie is a 1976 graduate of Dumas High School. Home of the Bobcats when he played football and track. He attended the University of Monticello.

Jessie was employed at Wagner Industries in 1986 where he was a supervisor until his retirement in November 2023.

Jessie was united in marriage to Barbara Rucker on March 11, 2000. Barbara was faithful to Jessie throughout his health battles and remained by his side to the very end. Jessie and Barbara were parents to six children.

Preceding Jessie in death were his brother Freddie Rankins and his sister Erma Rankins.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Barbara Rankins, his daughters Jessica Rankins and Tamelia Rucker, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Takellia Hill of Addison, Texas, Jasmine Stocker of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Sons Donta Rucker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Brian Rucker of Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Brother Ryan (Sharrone) Miller of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a brother Jimmie Rankins of Memphis Tennesse, Sister Martha Thomas of Oklahoma. Grand children Jadiya Collins, Makhia Richardson, and Steven Kelly, Jr., of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Kayden Rochelle of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Titan Rucker of Royce City, Texas, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, extended family and friends.
