Life’s Journey
Harold Martin was born January 17,1952, in Grady, AR to the late John Martin, Sr. and Ella Mae Washington. He was natured and raised up in the admonition of the Lord by his beloved mother Clara and John Martin, Sr.
Harold matriculated his education journey graduating from Lincoln High School, Star City, AR in 1970. After high school he attend college at AM&N now (University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff) obtaining his degree in Auto Mechanics. Harold's skills and talent allowed him to help and serve others. He was employed at Jenkins Memorial Center until his health began to fail.
Harold Martin departed this earthly realm on May 31, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons–Marlon Turner and Kerry Knight, one grandson–Jaylon James, a brother–Alphonso Johnson and sister Minnie Irons.
Harold leaves to cherish his memories: His wife–Clemestine Martin; two sons–Harold Martin, Henry (Lasonya) Martin; one daughter–Manasser (Teaon) Ellis all of Pine Bluff, AR; four brothers–John Martin, Jr. of Memphis,TN; James Washington, Sr. (Marisna) of East St. Louis, IL; Jerry Washington of Columbia, MO; Charles Ray Foster, Sr. of Fort Smith, AR; three sisters–Ella B. Mathis of Memphis,TN; Earnestine Johnson and Ruby Brazell of Springfield, IL; 24 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
