Mrs. Georgia Mae Taylor was born in Eureka, Mississippi on May 9, 1929, to the late Charlie and Rosie Bell Alford. On Saturday, July 25, 2020, Georgia Mae departed this life and accepted her call from God and entered into his heavenly gates.
She received her formal education from Dermott School District. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was an active member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church. She served as an inspirational choir member and was a loyal and faithful member for many years. Georgia Mae was united in holy matrimony to the late Eddie Lee Taylor, Sr.
Georgia Mae was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Rosie Bell Alford; her beloved husband Eddie Lee, Sr.; sisters- Mildred Williams, Willie Mae James, Charlie Mae Ferguson, Martha Alford, and Charlie Mae Sandifer; brothers- Eddie Bell Gary, Johnny Alford, Wallace Alford, and James Alford.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter Janice Marie Rayford of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, son Eddie Lee, Jr. of Florida. One sister Versie Dee (Ivory) Shaw of Little Rock, Arkansas; grand-daughters: Lakesha (Terry) Childress of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Anya and Teiana Taylor of Florida; grandson DeMarcus (Andrea) Rayford of Fayetteville, Arkansas and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
