Evelyn Marine Scott, the daughter of the late George and Ellen Scott, was born on July 2, 1944 in Varner (the Bend), Arkansas. She was the fourth of five daughters.

She accepted Christ as her Savior under the leadership of the late Rev. John Goodlow at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until graduating college and moving to Benton Harbor Michigan. She remained there until she was called home.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters:

Darlene Scott Williams, Mary Francis Scott Boston, and Isabell Scott Griswold; two nephews: Jerry Curtis Williams and Guy Anthony Williams; and two nieces: Nancy Renee Williams and Sandra Denise Boston Brown.

Evelyn ("Mack", 'Eve", or 'Scott' to close family and friends) is a 1963 graduate of Kennedy High School in Grady, Arkansas and a 1968 graduate of Arkansas A M & N College (now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff).

During her time in Grady, Evelyn was active in the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, singing and directing the choir. She was also a member of the County and local 4-H Club where she learned many skills and had big fun. She had a great love of cooking and eating as well. She returned to Grady often, especially to attend family and Grady Schools Biennial Reunion.

She joined the Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Donald Adkins after re-locating to Benton Harbor where she also sang and directed the choir. She taught home economics in the Benton Harbor School District until she retired. Evelyn also sold Mary Kay Cosmetics while living in Benton Harbor.

Evelyn was called home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Corewell Health Care Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

She leaves loving and precious memories to her daughter, Tiffany Bell Roddy of Benton Harbor, Michigan; one grandson: Dyone Lunzy of Atlanta, GA; one sister: Jearlene Scott Williams of Grady, AR; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and special friends: Maxine Livingston, Theresa Bowen and Mae Dobbs who will love and cherish forever her memories, humor, and laughs.
