Mr. Elmer Lee Marks was born September 9, 1952, to the late Rebecca Davis Turner and the late Fate Marks Sr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He departed this life on February 22, 2021.
He received his education from Coleman High School of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Elmer Lee Marks was blessed with one daughter that he named
after his mother, Rebecca. He was united in holy matrimony to Nicole Warrior Marks from 1999 until his passing. He enjoyed fishing, listening to his blues and gospel music, spending time with his only grandchild Elijah that he spoiled, and enjoyed doing the spoiling regardless of what Elijah desired. He could laugh with Elijah and play with him all day. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughter. Elmer enjoyed road trips and spending time with family and friends.
He was a faithful member of Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Anthony Walker until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Mattie Turner, 3 brothers Clifton Shine Sr., Louis Marks, and Fate Marks Jr., and his 2 sisters Leeatta and Juanita. He was also preceded in death by his Father-in-Law Willie C. Warrior.
Elmer fought the good fight of faith on February 22, 2021, until God said, “Well done faithful servant…. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
He leaves to cherish his memories with one daughter Rebecca Marks-Harris of Houston, Texas, Wife Nicole Marks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, One Sister Faye Marks- Elam of Chicago, Illinois, One grandson Elijah Wade of Houston, Texas. One Mother-in-Law Versie Parks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, One Brother-in-Law Cornelius Elam of Chicago, Illinois, One Son-in-Law Marcus Harris of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind two special friends Pastor Dennis Holly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas & Leo Ratliff of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His daughter Rebecca's best friend Shalonda Buckner and her three young daughters Neveah, Aaliyah, & Jai’ Den that he loved very much as his own kids. He also leaves behind 3 special nieces JoAnn Williams of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Kierra Parks of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Emma Marks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
