Edna Jackson Obituary

Edna Ruth (Stewart) Jackson was born Monday, May 27, 1935, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the proud parents Mr. Earnest Stewart and Mrs. Carrie (Colbert) Stewart (preceded her in death.

She was the third of five siblings, and the only girl. Leon, James, William, (preceded her in death) and David Stewart from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mother Edna Ruth excepted Christ at an early age. She completed her formal education through the Pine Bluff School District. She served on the Mother's board at New Community Church under Apostle Lockett until death Mother Edna Ruth (Our Queen) really loved her family, but her joy in life was fishing. When not working, fishing on her boat or on the fish bank is where you could find her. She worked for the Watson Chapel School District until she retired. She was sharp as a tack and very funny and quick-witted with her words.

Mother Edna Ruth met, and married Harvey Lee Sr. (preceded her in death) and children were born to this union.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her Children– James, Leroy Boush, Barbara Ann Rankins, Harvey Lee Jr. (Rose) Jackson, and Karl Bernard Jackson all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She also leaves to cherish her memories, Three special friends and relatives from childhood–Mae Ella, Calvester, and Mattie B.

Eleven Grandchildren–Donta A. Rucker, Tamelia L. Rucker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Brian Rucker of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Elliot Jackson, Kaden Jackson, and Karlton Jackson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Zoe Urquart, Christopher Urquhart, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Denise Boush of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Danny Ray (Patrece) Rainey, of Fordyce, Arkansas; and Jasmine Stocker of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Eight Great Grandchildren–De'Andria Mixon, Elliot Jackson Jr., De'Qan Rainey,  La'Darius Rainey all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Danny Ray Rainey, Il of Fordyce, Arkansas; Kayden Rochell of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Titan Rucker of Royce City, Texas.

Two Great-Great Grandchildren–Ivory Johnson and Ivan Johnson, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and a host of nephews nieces, cousins, close relatives, and friends. She adopted many as her extended family, called many of her children (Too many to count).

Although the Queen, and Matriarch of this family has transitioned to rest and live in eternity with God, she will never be gone from the hearts and now she can wear and has earned her eternal crown in glory.

She left an example as how to live and leave this world and to return to Him that loved her the most!
