Marilyn Denise Hunt Burch was born December 11, 1966 as the second born of five children to the late John Anna Hunt-Jackson and Eddie Collins.
She confessed hope in Christ at Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She was a 1985 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. Afterwards she attended UAPB where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and her Master's Degree in Addiction Studies. Before being called home, Marilyn was working towards a doctorate in Health Education and Promotion at Walden University.
On September 29, 2002, she married the late Gerald Otis Burch and they shared 19 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Marilyn was well traveled and especially enjoy traveling to Louisiana with Gerald.
Among her many wonderful qualities, she was a Minister at Living Refuge Encouragement Center, where she supported, encouraged and inspired females of all ages. She truly carried the love of Christ in her heart. Marilyn freely shared that love with all who chose to receive it.
Marilyn made sure her children served God. Her legacy continues through her three sons, Ryan J. Mason, Kendall J. Mason, and Johnathan J. Mason, St., two daughter in-law's; Shelonda Mason and Tasheena Boyd, six grandsons; Johnathan Mason, Jr., Jaizon Mason, Kiyan Mason, Collins Mason, Avery Mason, and Ethan Mason of Pine Bluff, AR; six granddaughters; Kiari Mason of Little Rock, AR; LaNihya Mason, Layla Mason, Jade Palmer, Ja'Briah and Ja'Liah Mason of Pine Bluff, two brothers; Percy Jackson, Sr., Derick Jackson, Sr., and brother in-law; Ferbia Allen, Sr., two sisters; Barbara Allen, and Alice Shabazz, sister in-law Tamika Jackson. She also leaves a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
