Dorothy Jean Russell

Dorothy Jean Russell was born September 19, 1934, to the late Robert Russell and the late Bernice Thomas Black on Monday, August 30, 2021, She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; {2) Sisters Frankie M. Patton, Annette F. Wyatt, (1) brother Edward E. Pinkins Sr.

 
Dorothy graduated from Merrill High School and later graduated from AM&N (University Of Arkansas@ Pine Bluff) in May 1960 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She worked as a Classroom teacher until her retirement in Berkeley, California. 

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories one daughter-Kathryn Denise Brown Johnson of Richmond, California, Two grandchildren- Nicholas Johnson and Taylor Johnson both of Houston, Texas. Two brothers Leroy Lasley and James Cecil Black both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Two Sister Geraldine Black Rowdy and Barbara L. Black Price both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

 The family will have a memorial service to celebrate her life in Richmond, California at a later date,
