Dianne Jenetta Evans-Hill (Die) was born in Sherrill, Arkansas on February 4, 1960, to the late Jack Evans and Lizzie Kirklin Evans. She was the eleventh child of eleven children.
Dianne confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Reverend Eddie Johnson. She was baptized in Horseshoe Lake in Sherrill, Arkansas.
After relocating to Tucker and England, Dianne united with Chapel Hill Baptist Church, Coy, Arkansas, under the leadership of Reverend Dwight Herron, and now present pastor, Reverend Steve Willoughby.
She served faithfully in many ministries of the church. Her heart was always dedicated to working on the Pastor and Church Anniversary, Kitchen/Food, youth department, decorating for special programs and holidays, and writing poems and resolutions for the church. She loved attending Sunday School. She served well.
Dianne’s education began at Tucker-Rosenwald School and continued at Plum Bayou-Tucker graduating in 1978. She continued her education at Pine's Vocational Technical School receiving her certificate in Basic Secretarial Office Practice in 1979. On July 25, 1990, Dianne completed her certification in Food Service/ Managers Program at The University of Central Arkansas.
Her long work career begin at Wabbaseka School District, Altheimer Unified District and retiring from the Dollarway School District. Dianne was the community mother, auntie, and friend to many. She enjoyed cracking jokes, sitting outside soaking up the sun, being with her children and grandchildren, listening to the blues and cooking. Her signature dishes for the family gatherings would be lasagna, pin-wheels, homemade rolls and cinnamon rolls.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Arthur Evans, Grandville Evans, Odis Evans, Annie Evans Gray, Reverend George Evans, Elton Ray Evans, Deacon Lewis Evans, and Eugene Evans.
She leaves a legacy of fond memories and cherished thoughts to children–Royce (Javante') Evans of White Hall, Arkansas, Jonathan (Angelica) Evans, and Brianna Evans of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Grandchildren–Alexandria, Royce (RJ), Kaliya and Karrington; Sisters–Rose Evans Strickland Perkins and Princella (Robert) Evans Age of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Uncle– Abraham Carpenter Sr. of Grady, Arkansas. Sisters-In-Love–Annie Ruth Evans, Leeann Evans, Barbara Evans, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
