Eddie Parks, Jr. was born April 12, 1940 in Gould, Arkansas to the late Icey Phine Taggart Parks and Eddie "Jack" Parks. Eddie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor I. C. Coleman at the Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In his later years, Eddie joined the Miracle Temple Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Virginia Dingle. Eddie served as a Deacon and was a dedicated and faithful member.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents-Icey Phine Parks and Eddie "Jack" Parks; one son—Eddie "Bo" Parks; two sisters-Mozella Brown and Bernice Adams; and four brothers-Troy Parks, Deloartic Parks, Alonzo Parks, and Tyrone Parks.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his wife-Rachel Cooley Parks; three sons Cedric Parks (Chunece) of Chicago, Illinois, Edward Parks of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Cory Thomas (Starla) of Houston, Texas; five daughters-Deanna Parks of Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie Parks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kelly Parks of New Haven, Connecticut, Cebrena Parks (Marquis) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Pamela Alston of Gibsonville, North Carolina; three stepchildren-Tonya Scarboro, Regina Scarboro, and Brian Scarboro; two sisters-Lorene Bell and Gloria Sanders (William) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; six brothers-Isaac Parks (Diane), Ray Parks (Bobbie), Lloyd Parks, Bennie Parks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Willie Parks (Sadie) of Dalton, Illinois, and Albert Parks (Ann) of Dumas, Arkansas; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
