Collie Lee Wedlow Sr. was born on February 9, 1934, in Altheimer, Arkansas to the late William Wedlow Sr. and Lucinda White Wedlow. He departed this life on December 25, 2020, in Las Vegas, NV.
Collie got his education from Cornerstone School in Cornerstone, AR. He was employed as a farmer for over 55 years, and one of the most knowledgeable farmworkers in the state of Arkansas. He met and married Lucille Ivory Wedlow on October 2, 1954, until she preceded him in death. He was a member of Mt.Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and worked in the Finance Department until he relocated to Las Vegas, NV in October 2012. Collie loved people, and he never met a stranger. Most of all he would shine like a ray of light when he was surrounded by his family. He enjoyed watching sports and telling jokes.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Faye Johnson, Sister Winton Lee Wedlow, three brothers Edward Wedlow, Green Wedlow, and David Wedlow.
He is survived by Five sons; Curtis Gardner (Lydia) Huntsville, AL, Collie Wedlow Jr., David Wedlow (Vanessa), Kenny Wedlow, and Alvin Wedlow (Mary) all of Las Vegas, NV; Three daughters Estine Laws, Bobbie Whitmore, and Mary Lindsey all of Las Vegas, NV; Two brothers William Wedlow (Linnie) Houston TX; Henry Wedlow (Tuleesha) Flint MI; 2 special sisters-in-law ·Ardelia Thomas Pine Bluff, AR; Cordia Wedlow Las Vegas, NV; 28 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
