Charles C. Leavy was born June 18, 1949, in Gethsemane Arkansas to Martha Morris and the late Hosea Leavy. Charles was called from his earthly journey and placed in the heavenly gardens on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gethsemane, Arkansas under the leadership of E.J Richardson.
Charles attended J.S Walker High School in Wabbaseka, Arkansas. He was an outstanding track star. Spring of 1968, at the Meet of Champions, Arkansas Best Track and Field stars competed to determine who was the best in the state. Charles set the state record in the 440-meter dash. Charles, a young man from a little class B Arkansas school, the smallest in the state sports classification, won. His record stood for almost 20 years before being broken. He helped put Gethsemane and Wabbaseka on the map. He graduated from J.S Walker High School in 1968. After which, Charles joined the United States Army in 1970. He served as a war veteran in the Vietnam War. During his time, he served as a kitchen supervisor. He also served with distinction by receiving a National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Expert (rifle). Charles received an honorable discharge in 1972. During his service to his country, he married Dorothy Jean Lewis in 1970.

He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Parker and his sister Peggy Ball and his grandson D’Andre Akeen Seals.
He leaves loving memories to be cherished by both of his mothers Martha Morris and Patsy Morris, 1 aunt Sedean Morris; 11 children, Latonia Leavy, Stephen LaRodney, LaSonya (Lawrence) Owens, Tabetha and Nyketa Leavy Rodney Seals, LaTasha Leavy, Alexis Leavy, Paul Charles Leavy, Keith Leavy, and Tony Leavy. siblings; Cleopus Leavy, Milton Curtis Jones, Connie (Donald) Robinson, Ronnie Morris, Gregory Morris, Marilyn Tyson, Diane Davis, Larry (Marcie) Davis, Roosevelt (Cynthia) Davis, Hosea Leavy, Mayola Leavy; blessed with countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
