A Life Well Lived
Charles Edward Barkins, Sr., affectionately known as "CB," was born on January 6, 1957, to the late James Barkins, Sr. and Arnetti Smith. The late Alexander Smith reared him. Charles was a proud graduate of Pine Bluff High School, Class of 1976, where he made his mark as a running back for the Pine Bluff Zebras. He continued his journey of service and self-improvement by enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served for four years.
A jack of all trades, Charles became a master in the craft of carpentry, honing his skills for over 25 years. His love for home renovations, leather crafting, and creative projects knew no bounds. He had an unshakable work ethic and a passion for finding beauty in both big and small projects. Beyond his creative talents, Charles enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: fishing, rummage sales, auctions, and leisurely rounds of golf.
Charles will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His kind spirit, generous heart, and infectious laughter will live on in the countless lives he touched. Charles leaves behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and an appreciation for life's simple joys.
