Carolyn Ann Cannon, the daughter of the late Marvin and Margaret M. (Jones) Cannon, was born October 18, 1953, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She departed her life at Jefferson Regional Medical Center on May 14, 2022. She was the third child of seven children. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age Gospel Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. Mason.
Carolyn’s love for taking care of people led her into the Health Care Profession where she worked sometimes two jobs at a time for many years. She worked many long hours at the following jobs Loma Linda Nursing Home, Pine Bluff Nursing Home, Oak Park Nursing Home and Sunchase Nursing Home.
She was a caregiver to so many in her family and a pillar to her community. She loved her only son and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking big meals for family and friends especially on Sundays. She had a love for music and loved playing games with the family.
She was proceeded in death by two brothers- Marvin Cannon Jr. and Royd Cannon; and two sisters- Gloria Ann Cannon and Helen Faye Cannon
She leaves to cherish her loving mate John Roy Tidwell of Pine Bluff, AR; one son-Patrick Dewayne Stribling of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Other survivors include two brothers- Don Edward Cannon of Pine Bluff, AR; Johnnie Cannon (Sharon) of Broken Arrow, OK; one sister-Barbara J (Cannon) Manning (Rickey Sr.) of Tulsa, OK; a loving friend and sister-in-law-Irma Williams of Pine Bluff, AR; Grandchildren-Patrick Dewayne Stribling, Jr. (Krystle), Johnnie Dewayne Stribling (Debrisha), Davone Stribling and Goddess Stribling; Great grandchildren- A’Zayvonne, Braeldyn, Jahair, Jailynn, Jahseh and BrayShaen.
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a best friend Marquentia Marshbanks.
